Where By TITILAYO OTUKOYA

Yet another sad lonely day
The chirping of unfamiliar birds
Make the lonely day more gloomy
The far cry of the noisy children
From down the road
The heavily powered generators and the fumes
My lungs have never suffered this much
Oh I remember when I held my breathe
Oh then my lungs suffered
One would have thought I would die
But I didn’t.

A child I was.
The detergent I swallowed never seemed to have any effect.
Or knife I held never seemed to want to go in

Oh tears
Unruly as I was
Tears.
Shouts

Cry
All these I did
Why
The pain never stops
And anger never dies

Even when I perished to make myself burn
I was still saved
Oh
That the pain may go
And the hurt may fade

Where come the pain from?
Where does it all come from.

Well only God knows..

About Author.

I am Otukoya Titilayo Aisha . I am majoring in International Law and Diplomacy at Babcock University and I am in my fourth year. I put more attention on love and diatribe poetic writings. I recently  wrote ‘ THE PEN’ for KALAMU REVIEW magazine. Poetry to me is an extension of the soul with words, poetry is an extension of life of man in an entirely different way.
